Welcome to Lee Walker Westerns, a blog for everyone who loves Black Horse Westerns, the Wild West and the novel writing process in general. I've been writing for as long as I could hold a pen. It seems I've always enjoyed scribbling down stories just for the fun of it and I've always loved the history, folklore and legends of the Old West in books and on screen. My first novel, Gun Law was published in 2009 by Robert Hale and then released in large print edition by AF Thorpe in 2010. A short story, 'Dead Man Walking' was included in the Express Westerns 2009 anthology 'A Fistful of Legends'. My second western novel, Pay Dirt, was released in 2012 and my third, Devil's Deal was published in March, 2013. I am currently doing the final editing on my fourth Black Horse Western, Rattlesnake Ridge. I hope you enjoy the blog. Jim Payne, Sheriff of Cedar Springs, thinks nothing of it when he is asked by his Ma to deliver a letter to his estranged brother, Michael. However, the trail leads him to Golden Gulch, a dangerous Californian boomtown, high on gold fever and in the tight grip of the ruthless conman, Coleridge Craven and his henchman, Kid Cassidy.
